The Australasian Dermatopathology Society was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Dr Geoffrey Hunter. He was instrumental in founding this Society in 1979. Many dermatologists and pathologists today regard the Society's Annual Scientific Meeting as the highlight of their academic year.
We appreciate and acknowledge Dr Hunter’s commitment to Dermatopathology over several decades. Dr Hunter was a wonderful teacher to many graduates over many years and he did much to promote Dermatopathology in Australia. We will continue to honour his memory with the Geoffrey Hunter Oration, which is delivered by a visiting international speaker at our Annual Meeting.
